12 MW Cooling Infrastructure Supports Production Scale-Up at Energy Drink Factory

Project Overview

As part of a major expansion initiative, a leading European energy drink manufacturer launched a new production unit in Szikszó, Hungary. The objective was to scale output significantly while boosting energy performance across beverage processing, thermal comfort, and storage operations.

Redge was chosen to deliver a fully integrated HVAC and process cooling system, working closely with regional engineering and installation experts to meet ambitious commissioning and performance timelines.

Challenges

The production facility posed a complex set of technical requirements:

  • Industrial-scale chilled water production for beverage manufacturing

  • Year-round thermal comfort across multiple halls

  • Simultaneous control of multiple temperature zones and system types

  • Strict delivery schedule aligned with plant launch

The solution needed to be modular, efficient, and highly reliable—supporting both process-critical operations and employee comfort within an evolving site footprint.

Redge Solution

Redge deployed a full-stack HVAC and process cooling configuration, delivering more than 12 MW of installed cooling capacity. Key system components included:

  • TWIN NEOSYS Chillers: Delivering chilled water at industrial scale for beverage processing

  • Dry Coolers: Providing efficient, low-maintenance heat rejection

  • FLEXAIR Air Handling Units: Ensuring clean, temperature-stable production zones

  • ENERGY Series Rooftop Units: Serving storage halls and production spaces with precise climate control

To accommodate stratified thermal needs, fluid coolers were installed to manage multiple chilled water temperature setpoints—each matched to a specific stage of the manufacturing cycle.

The entire solution was installed and commissioned in collaboration with Lenergy Magyarország Kft, Redge's trusted distribution and service partner in Hungary.
