Location: Svolvær, Lofoten, Norway
Sector: Retail / Energy Station
Application: Heating and air conditioning for an energy station
Solution: Replacement of an existing KHA120 rooftop unit with a Redge eBBH035 rooftop unit
Project Overview
St1 Svolvær is an energy station serving customers in Svolvær, located in Norway's
Lofoten archipelago. As a retail environment, the facility requires a dependable
indoor climate to support day-to-day operations and provide a comfortable environment
for staff and visitors throughout the year.
Like many commercial buildings, the site relied on an existing rooftop HVAC unit that
had reached the point where replacement was required. Maintaining reliable heating and
air conditioning is an important part of ensuring continuous operation while reducing
the risks associated with ageing equipment.
Rather than carrying out extensive modifications to the building's HVAC infrastructure,
the project focused on replacing the existing rooftop unit with a modern equivalent.
This approach enabled the site's air conditioning and heating system to be renewed
while retaining the established rooftop installation concept.
Redge Solution
The project involved the replacement of the existing
KHA120 rooftop unit with a
Redge eBBH035 rooftop unit.
1. Redge eBBH035 Rooftop Unit
The Redge eBBH035 was selected as the replacement rooftop unit for
the energy station. Installed in place of the existing KHA120 unit, it provides heating
and air conditioning for the retail facility within a single rooftop solution.
By replacing the ageing equipment with a current Redge rooftop unit, the project
delivers an updated HVAC installation while maintaining the operational requirements
of the site. Rooftop systems are well suited to commercial applications where
space-efficient installation and integrated climate control are important considerations.
