Project Overview

Located in Portimão, in Portugal's Algarve region, the Worten retail store is a commercial facility dedicated to the sale of consumer electronics and household appliances. As a customer-facing retail environment, the store requires a comfortable indoor climate throughout the year while ensuring adequate fresh air ventilation for both visitors and employees.

Retail buildings present specific HVAC requirements. Large open sales areas, varying occupancy levels and extended operating hours require a system capable of delivering consistent indoor conditions while supporting effective air distribution across the occupied space. At the same time, the HVAC installation must integrate with the building layout without affecting the retail environment.

For this project, the objective was to provide a complete climate control solution that combined heating, cooling and air renewal. The installation also needed to suit the building's technical configuration, with equipment positioned within a dedicated plant area and connected to the building's ductwork.

Redge Solution

To meet the project's requirements, two Redge EVIO Ev270AH145DPF1 rooftop units were supplied for the building.

The installation comprises two EVIO Ev270AH145DPF1 rooftop units, serving the retail store's heating, cooling and ventilation requirements.

The units are installed in a dedicated technical area on a steel support structure and incorporate vertical duct connections, enabling integration with the building's air distribution system. This configuration allows conditioned air and fresh outdoor air to be supplied throughout the retail space while supporting effective air renewal.

By combining multiple HVAC functions within rooftop units, the solution provides climate control and ventilation for the commercial environment while making efficient use of the available technical installation area.
